About Me

Hi, I am Kristina, the photographer here at Dimples & Toes Photography in Harrogate.

For years I have always had a passion for photography and capturing all the special moments through life. Having danced since the age of two, I then went on to be a professional dancer for 13 years. I have travelled the world working on stage and in television and film, so I am extremely creative and love meeting new people. I also understand how daunting it can be on the other side of the lense, so my aim is to fill you with confidence and create a calm & relaxing environment for everyone. I absolutely love babies and knew that training to be a newborn, maternity & family photographer I would experience all the excitement, love & happiness that each shoot brings.

In 2018 I trained with the newborn photographer of the year to specialise in newborn photography and formed my company ‘Dimples & Toes Photography’ in Derbyshire. I find my job as a photographer so rewarding & seeing how people react when seeing their images brings me so much happiness.

In December 2019 I became a mother myself and my passion for photography has grown even stronger. I am now a mum of two boys and my appreciation for mothers and the female body has grown tenfold. We are all superheroes! I am also a mummy to two fur babies Minnie and Alfie so I encourage capturing images of your cute pets too!

I appreciate even more so now how time passes by so quickly & that capturing as much as you can on camera brings so much joy to look back on and remember how beautiful you were when you were pregnant and how the female body is actually even more incredible than I already thought. At the time, I feel a lot of us struggle with the change in our body until we look back and feel we should have celebrated it more.

I have learnt that in a flash those tiny toes, those cute dimples and squishy cheeks that were once in these tiny outfits grow so quickly and you never want it to end. A photograph is like a pause button on life that can take you back to memories that are priceless. Photographs are not only amazing for you to look back on, but for your children to treasure and future generations to come. It is their history, their memories, their family, their story and we need to pay more attention to it.
